NEW OPENINGS

AMERICAN CUT MIDTOWN: This week LDV Hospitality, alongside chef-partner Marc Forgione, opened the cities second location of the stylish steak restaurant at The Lombardy Hotel in the heart of Midtown. Paying homage to the original New York dining experience – the steakhouse –Chef Forgione’s menu delivers signature dishes like the Chili Lobster and new dishes such as the show-stopping 52 oz. Porterhouse complete with flaming bone marrow butter prepared table-side. The 6,000 square foot space, designed with a 1970’s glam rock aesthetic, seats 130 in the dining room and boasts a large bar and lounge area. Take note of the attention to detail in the interactive craft cocktail program. Try a light and refreshing concoction made with seasonal produce or go classic and peruse the “Reserve” section featuring whiskey-based classics like the Manhattan, Boulevardier, and Sazerac. In the dining room, take advantage of the made-to-order cocktails, presented table-side via a rolling bar cart, and choose a TriBeCa favorite: the Plank Smoked Old Fashioned. FAIR WEATHER BUSHWICK: Fair Weather Bushwick, formerly a daytime neighborhood coffee shop, transformed into a new full service restaurant on Tuesday. After closing for renovations and hiring its first chef, Fair Weather Bushwick debuted its unique concept and dinner menu featuring the seasonal New American cooking of Chef/Partner John Creger (Artisanal, Le Cirque). The concept: a 10 course tasting menu ($65) during the week, an affordable a la carte menu Friday & Saturday, and brunch Friday-Sunday. With an intimate 22 seat dining room and owner Ebru Brun greeting guests, weeknights will feel like a dinner party. Tuesday-Thursday there is one seating at 8pm for the tasting menu, with Chef John Creger personally serving and introducing each course. For an additional $30, guests can enjoy a beer pairing with Craft beers from Blackberry Farm, Evil Twin and Crooked Stave, among others, and wine will be available. Chef Creger has also curated the music playlist with different tracks matching the course. WINE HAPPY HOUR at THE MEATBALL SHOP: Throughout the week, The Meatball Shop is celebrating the launch of their new TMS Red Wine and TMS White Wine with a special ALL DAY happy hour at ALL locations. All week until March 25th diners can toast with 1/2 priced bottles of both TMS Red and TMS White all day. Chef/owner Daniel Holzman traveled to France to help create The Meatball Shop’s first wine blend at Mas de Daumas Gassac Winery in Southern France.
