UNTIL TOMORROW: Today, Brooklyn’s Clinton Hill-Fort Greene neighborhood welcomes a relaxed and inviting neighborhood bar and cocktail destination boasting a dynamic food & beverage program. Beverage Director Rob Giles brings his gastronomical approach to cocktail craftsmanship, which complements Executive Chef/Partner Dave Ralston’s food; often times incorporating similar flavor profiles and ingredients. Guests can enjoy a seasonally rotating selection of specialty cocktails such as the Donkey Kong, an intricate libation made with currant bread pudding-infused rum, Blackwells Jamaican Rum, 151 Hamilton Rum, orange and lemon juices, Tahitian Vanilla Syrup, brûléed black walnut-infused bananas, and espresso. And, don’t miss out on the dedicated “pickleback” section with options like Tromba Plata Tequila with tomatillo, cilantro, mint and jalapeño or Rittenhouse Rye with Manischewitz garam masala curry and raisin to name a few. Wine lovers can choose from a modest yet balanced selection of Old World wines. Some menu highlights include inspired bar bites like Sloppy JoesChicken Fajitas; and Buffalo Fried Chicken Thighs. S’ZEN: A hybrid of the words Scene and Zen, S’Zen is the art aficionado’s and cocktail connoisseur’s hideaway located at The Hotel On Rivington. Part art gallery, part lounge, guests enter the intimate 40-person bar through the hotel’s second floor lobby, opting to take a seat at the bar or sink into velvet sofas. Owner/Mixologist Albert Trummer brings his illustrious background (Apotheke, Sanatorium) to wow guests with imaginative handcrafted Asian-inspired libations using housemade syrups from exotic botanicals like kabosu, nashi, yuzu, jasmine and hemp – transporting guests to a zen-like state of mind. Watch bartenders hack ice with a Japanese sword while sipping creations like the creamy Panda (Don Q Coco Rum, White Creme de Cacao, Coconut Milk, and Basil Leaves). The cocktail curious can order an omakase of cocktails, giving them an opportunity to taste their way through libations ounce by ounce ($10 per oz.), selected from Trummer’s carefully curated rare rums, gins, whiskeys, mezcals, tequilas, sake, and shochu from around the world. S’Zen is also home to the curated art program Art on Rivington where they'll exhibits original, seasonally rotated artwork.
