NEW OPENING

BOURBON SPRINGS: Chef/Owner Emily Casey, who grew up in Virginia, brings her rustic creek-side family retreat to the North Williamsburg neighborhood. Enjoy creative Southern cuisine and a – you guessed it – bourbon heavy cocktail menu. Highlights include the Boudin Balls to start and the Bourbon-Glazed Double Pork Chop as a main. The beverage program has been developed by Benjamin Zorn whose skills behind the bar have evolved as he’s worked all over from Berlin to New Orleans just to name a few. RANDOLPH: Both the Broome Street and Williamsburg locations introduce their fall cocktail menus. This season, beverage director Obadiah Lack has crafted cocktails featuring classic Fall flavors like maple, apple and pumpkin but with surprising Randolph twists. The applejack-based Winona Cider is a bit of a wild card just like Ms. Ryder and The Moose Is Loose incorporates all of Fall's favorite flavors. View the new booze menu...

FARO: Last weekend the environmentally conscious Bushwick restaurant debuted Sunday Brunch & Supper which will be be served from 10am to 10pm. Chef/Owner Kevin Adey’s highlights include Toad in the Hole Grilled Cheese (with potato-pancetta hash) and Dutch Baby (a pancake-meets-popover served with apple butter and whipped crème fraiche). Those craving supper, whether it’s morning or evening, can enjoy a variety of fresh pastas made with grains milled on site and large format dishes to share like the Dry-aged Duck Hash (with emmer, pumpkin, and Thai caramel). Thirsting for a hangover cure? Look no further than their Bloody Mary crafted with ember-roasted tomatoes, anchovy caramel and horseradish or their take on the Redeye which blends vodka, light beer and hot sauce with the option to add a raw egg. DIA DE LOS MUERTOS MENU at HECHO EN DUMBO: The contemporary Mexico City-inspired restaurant in the East Village is doing their part to celebrate both Dia de los Muertos and Halloween in style with the four-course Menu Macabro (aka the Terrifying Menu). For $40 a person head there Monday, October 26th through Sunday, November 2nd to enjoy a special menu featuring offal dishes, traditional Day of the Dead bread and more. Highlights include the Queso with Berkshire Pork Headcheese, Roasted Veal Sweetbreads Tostadas, and the dark and decadent Roasted Pork Cheek and Blood Sausage. View venue details...

‘THAT’S ODD, LET’S DRINK IT’ PREMIERES: A brand new web series titled “That’s Odd, Let’s Drink It” featuring Dogfish Head Craft Brewery’s President & Founder Sam Calagione, is premiering on Wednesday, October 28th. Calagione has teamed up with Complex’s First We Feast to introduce a six episode series that explores the art and oddities of home brewing at its weirdest. Each episode features the fearless brew master collaborating with a special celebrity guests such as restauranteur Mario Batali, NBA star Chris Bosh and rapper Mac Miller to produce new, game-changing brews – utilizing everything from moon rocks to Delaware scrapple! DEWAR’S SCRATCHED CASK IS COMING TO NYC: This Saturday Dewar’s is hosting a pop-up Scratched Cask multi-sensorial tasting experience at the South Street Seaport.  There, guests will enter a giant 10-ft. whisky barrel and immerse themselves in a virtual reality screening that will bring to life the newly released whisky.
